Samantha

Gorgeous. Vivacious. Bodacious. Fun and full of laughter. These are the descriptive words that come to mind when I think of Sam . . . that and she has the most incredible eyes. I am sure those eyes will be breaking hearts.  Samantha has a wickedly funny sense of humor and she laughs all the time. She has a goal to go on to college – achieving a degree in some capacity – of helping others. Brace yourself dad, this young lady is smoldering!  But hey, she has your good looks. We had a blast capturing these images. Normally I like lots of black and white but when you get delicious colour like this I cannot help but share that. We are known for our unique colour processing techniques.  I hope that you enjoy them.

I love how you can see her freckles here. Freckles and daisies go well together. Wouldn’t you say so?

Two People Who Belong Together . . .

Jennifer and Eric. These two souls just belong together. They met last winter, ice carving downtown Anchorage and fell deeply in love. I enjoyed photographing their small and intimate wedding. Everyone involved in the wedding are so creative. There were other ice carvers, musicians and artists. Anytime you have a creative group of people, you can capture incredibly artful shots because artists pay attention to detail and the details make very special images.  Cheers all and enjoy.

This creative couple designed their own rings and exchanged hand written vows.

The groom and his buddy worked off a little steam before the ceremony by jaming together. The groom had chopsticks and drummed onto Pete’s violin! Fantastic sound and I had never experienced this before. Great fun.

Yard Surfin’

I felt privileged to photograph this beautiful family. Little Riley and Devan are the prettiest little tomboys I have ever known.  I am willing to bet it was daddy who concocted the backyard routine they call “yard surfing”. I had so much fun photographing these kids as they squealed with laughter and giggles when they convinced their poppa to pull them around their backyard on a beach boogie board! This family has been long time clients. I photographed momma when she was pregnant with big sister, Riley and I photographed baby Riley in a metal wash tub in my backyard! Cute little bald baby that laughed all the time!

Of course, little Devan had her hot pink little shoes on backwards but this just added to the ‘uniqueness’ of these images and their family story.

Poppa’s girls.

Big sister is placing chapstick on little sister’s lips. What a fabulous big sis!

Now I have never seen chalk like this. Momma put together a fantastic big outdoor blackboard for these girls. They can colour to their hearts content! When the rain washes away their masterpieces, they just begin all over again. I want my own backyard chalkboard!

Mom had a great idea to photograph the girls in their backyard hammock. Got some delish colours!

Then little Devan started begging dad for something and begging the only that little girls can. It took me a while to figure out what was happening. But then it was instant full on temper tantrum, as you can see below. Mom says to me, “oh boy, wait until you see this” . . .

She was all smiles and giggles as she convinced her dad to give her a hammock ride! These girls love being whirled around in the hammock!  I watched the entire process. Dad makes sure he has the hammock all sealed up tightly before giving the kids a whirl. These little girls have poppa wrapped around their little fingers . . .
