I love photographing with this family. I have been photographing them since their wedding day. Dad is now away at war so we decided to do a special session just for him since he will be away at Christmas. Anchorage, Alaska has been so incredibly beautiful with the heavy hoarfrost. Even though the temp has been hovering at a chilly 19 degrees above zero, it’s quite tolerable. Especially when the wind doesn’t blow. We started photographing indoors but soon set out for some fun and colourful photographs for poppa and it was a very special day for us all.

Then we decided to get out the sled. My handsome assistant, Andy, carried Troy and the sled. Aleasha and I followed as he broke a trail for us in our backyard. I think we got some really fun photographs for poppa. Merry Christmas, Patrick. We certainly miss you.

And since little Troy is wearing an “argyle” sweater, I added a bit of nostalgia colour process to this last image. He is always such a happy little guy. Fun day.

This really wonderful family invited me to photograph them at one of their homes, here in Alaska. They have this place at the base of the Eagle River mountains and what a spectacular view they have! The property is gorgeous and very picturesque. I was so excited to see they have chickens! Really pretty chickens. The 2 very young boys just love their chickens and I had so much photographing them. I really did not want to leave. It was such a joy. Just a peek here, but we captured some fantastic family heirlooms. I hope to be invited back again soon.

I photographed this family last year and I could not believe how big the little ones have grown since! They are a gorgeous family. We gave the girls their pink tea set and several of their costumes and let them play. It was a fun session and we got lots of fun colours.

What a big sisterly pucker!

Is she just precious? See those incredible eyes. . . and look at those little pink tights she wore. Who wouldn’t want a photograph like this, of their child at play? Fun.
